Saly guide: what to see and do in Saly?
A popular tourist destination, the seaside resort of Saly looks a bit like St Tropez in the 1950s. It is always very pleasant to visit it because of the warmth of its inhabitants and the beauty of its landscape. However, it is a tourist city “Africa”. The resort has the privilege of a very beautiful location: golden sandy beaches, coconut trees as far as the eye can see and the sea always calm, where succeed one another luxury hotels, cafes and restaurants. Basically, the city was a Portuguese trading post. In fact, it was the Portuguese who gave it the name “Sali Portugal”, which over the years has changed to “Saly Portudal” to simplify Saly. The seaside resort was inaugurated in 1984, the year of the beginning of Senegalese tourism.
For a weekend or a stay with family or friends, Saly Portudal remains the place to be!
